Zoho Invoice and Online Payments: Everything You Need to Know

Zoho Invoice is an online invoicing software that helps you craft professional invoices, send payment reminders, keep track of expenses, and get paid faster.

Zoho Invoice is available for free as a standalone application and is also included in the Zoho One and Zoho Finance Plus bundle. Zoho Finance Plus offers you a comprehensive suite of online apps – Zoho Invoice, Zoho Inventory, Zoho Books, Zoho Checkout, Zoho Payroll, and Zoho Subscriptions. Zoho Finance Plus is a unified platform that helps you manage your back-office operations and finances.

Zoho Checkout is Zoho’s online payment solution. You can build a secure payment page and accept one-time or recurring payments online easily with Zoho Checkout. However, if you’re using other online payment solutions for your business, you can integrate them with Zoho Invoice.

Zoho Invoice integrates with multiple payment gateways, letting you collect online payments faster. You can enable payment gateway under ‘Integrations’ and choose a gateway of your choice.

Zoho Invoice supports the following payment gateways in the US:

  • Stripe
  • PayPal
  • Authorize.net
  • Payflow Pro
  • Payments Pro
  • Braintree 
  • Forte

 

Stripe, PayPal, and Authorize.net are the most popular online payment gateways in the US. 

 

Here is how you can use Stripe, PayPal, and Authorize.net along with Zoho Invoice.


1. Stripe and Zoho Invoice Integration

 

To set up the integration, you will first have to connect your Stripe account and then configure the integration to start tracking payments.

  • Go to Settings > Online Payments.
  • Click Set up Now and you will be redirected to Stripe.
  • Enter your login credentials and click Sign in/Sign up.
  • Click Connect my Stripe Account to connect with Stripe.
  • You will be redirected to Stripe’s configuration page in Zoho Invoice
  • Click the pencil icon to choose the payment methods through which you want to collect payments.

Once you have integrated Stripe with Zoho Invoice, your customers can directly make a card payment to you through Stripe for the invoices sent to them. Here’s how:

  • Go to the Invoices module.
  • Create a new invoice or edit an existing invoice for which you want to receive payments.
  • Enter the necessary details.
  • Check the box near Stripe under payment options.
  • Click Save and Send.

 

Your customers can click Pay Now button in their email or portal. They can pay via card or their preferred payment method.


2. PayPal and Zoho Invoice Integration

 

To setup PayPal as your preferred gateway for receiving payments,

  • Click on the gear icon on the top right-hand side corner of the screen and select More Settings.
  • Go to Integrations and select Online Payments and click the Setup Now button adjacent to the PayPal logo.
  • Enter the registered email address, confirm it, and click Save.
  • Choose the Default Payment Option – PayPal Standard and PayPal Business Payments.
  • Enter the layout of the payment page, that your customers see.
  • Click Save.


3. Authorize.Net and Zoho Invoice Integration

 

To configure Authorize.Net in Zoho Invoice

  • Click on the gear icon on the top right-hand side corner of the screen and select More Settings.
  • Go to Integrations and select Online Payments and click the Setup Now button adjacent to Authorize.Net logo.
  • Enter the following information and click Save.
    • API LoginID: Enter the API Login ID given to you by Authorize.Net.
    • Transaction Key: Enter the Transaction Key given to you by Authorize.Net.
    • Currency: Enter the currency of receipt (US dollar).
